This is me!

Hello my beauties,

I am your Estie bestie, my name is Taylor and I will be sharing with you all the tips and tricks when it comes to beauty! But first I would love to tell you a little bit about my background! So here we go, hold on for the crazy ride.

It was early September 2018 and I couldn’t help but think to myself is this bartending job really what I want for the rest of life? A few days later my husband and I traveled up to Traverse City, Michigan for a family wedding when it was there that a light bulb went off in my husbands head. As I was doing his sisters hair and makeup to prepare for the wedding my husband asked me, “why don’t you go to school for this and do this as your profession?” My obvious answer was, “no way I couldn’t do that,” then he said those two words that really got me thinking, “why not?” This my friends is when the rollercoaster starts!

We got home from the wedding and I instantly start doing some digging, looking at schools, and careers in the field. Probably a week later I toured a school and signed up for esthetician school. I then quit my job as a bartender and I started working at Ulta as a part time employee to gain product knowledge and because the hours were much better.

A week before I started my new job & school we had the biggest surprise of a lifetime I was pregnant! We were super excited I was also super nervous thinking what the hell did I just do? Luckily everything worked out, I graduated school in March of 2019, took state boards and became a licensed esthetician in May 2019. Then a few weeks after in June my son was born! I was low key really nervous I was going to go into labor during my state boards, but we made it!

After little one was born I took maternity leave so in August of 2019 I started looking for an Estie job, and I found one! Someone told me Peach Body Bar was looking for another esthetician to add to their team, and I honestly wasn’t sure if I was ready to go back to work yet. So I took a leap of faith left the baby with a sitter for the first time and went to the interview, and guess what? THEY WANTED ME TO JOIN THE TEAM! I was completely thrilled I was so proud of myself for taking a leap of faith! Everything was just falling into place so effortlessly I knew this was where I was ment to be.

At the end of August I got trained to be a permanent makeup artist something I’ve always wanted to do. Then in September 2019 I got trained in volume lashing so now I had two amazing trainings and I was ready to learn more! I then won tickets to Mario Dedivanovic’s masterclass through Instagram, so I got trained in traditional makeup! I got trained in full face airbrush makeup for all my beautiful brides in February 2020. During quarantine I did an online eyebrow threading class so I now offer that as well! So I guess I am a licensed esthetician, certified PMUA (permeant make-up artist), certified brow artist, double certified lash artist, and double certified makeup artist. Something so amazing about this field is it’s always changing so there is always something new to learn.

So as your Estie bestie these trainings are for you, knowledge is wealth I want to share everything I’ve learned, and what I keep learning with you all. I am here to help you feel confident and beautiful in your own skin. I am here to encourage you to go for it and follow your heart. I hope I inspire and help you with these diaries if I have all my hard work and dedication would be so worth it. I appreciate you all so much and if you got this far thank you!

xoxo, your estie bestie.
